Activity Report and Latest Information

Sixteen under- and post-graduate medical students and 3 lecturers from Kanazawa University who participated to the training program at the WHO headquarters in Geneva for two days of November 20 and 21,2017 had a courtesy call to Global Hepatitis Program (GHP) at WHO. At the beginning, Dr. Tomoyuki Hayashi, the fifth secondee from Kanazawa University, gave us a lecture about the epidemiology and the importance of the chronic viral hepatitis in conjunction with his own experience at GHP. The students were given the lectures about the roles of WHO including GHP as a public health specialized agency and the professional career path as the staff of UN agency by the officers of each program, and the students enjoyed the active discussion with the officers.
