Midterm Review of the Mongolia Healthy Liver Programme (Mongolia)
Dr. Tetsuro Shimakami and Dr. Takeshi Terashima participated in “Midterm Review of the Mongolia Healthy Liver Programme” held on 26 August to 6 September as external experts.
We visited National Center for Cancer, a primary health care center, and a secondary level hospital, and reviewed the situation of screening, diagnosis, care, treatment and registry systems for viral hepatitis and liver cancer.
Every team reported that Healthy Liver Programme was highly valued by communities, patients, leaders, and health providers. We discussed the recommendations for overcoming some challenges and making the health care systems more valuable.
