Activity Report and Latest Information

We organized the series of clinical-public health webinars focusing on the Pacific island countries on liver cancer and viral hepatitis as a WHO Collaborating Center for viral hepatitis and liver cancer for the Western Pacific. The webinar series were targeted the importance of early detection of liver cirrhosis and cancer. The series consisted of 3 webinars. Dr. Hayashi presented that when you see a patient with liver disease, instructions for a regular medical checkup　is essential in order to prevent the progression　of liver disease and to detect treatable diseases at an earlier stage (alcohol, viral hepatitis).
